Ages & Stages: A Review

earth's globe with two sets of hands

Today’s NaPoWriMo prompt invited us to write a list poem of all made-up names, for bands, TV shows, movies, books — whatever sparked our fancy. Ah, my girlhood dreams of singing in a rock band. Here’s a haiku:

raven’s chatter,
early warning system --
outraged gaia

But, more importantly, today’s prompt brought to mind the kenning prompt from 2016, which birthed a piece I’d love feedback on: Ages & Stages.

I.
Cape-trailing
Sword-waving
Ringlets-tangling
Tree-climbing
Looneytune-giggling
Seedling-sprouting.

II.
Dream-catching
Rule-breaking
Sulky-sainted
Service-leading
Character-swapping
Sapling-straining.

III.
Hawkmachine-mender
Justice-defender
Marching-master
Family-protector
Childhood-warrior
Adult-rooting.
